Basic Eligibility

To qualify, you should be able to demonstrate that:

• You will leave the UK before your visa expires.
• You have sufficient funds to cover your travel, accommodation, and living expenses.
• You have strong ties to your home country, such as employment, business, family, or property.
• You will not work or rely on public funds while in the UK.

Validity

• Standard Visitor Visa: Up to 6 months.
• Long-term visitor visas are also available for 2, 5, or 10 years, but each individual stay is still limited to 6 months.

Processing Time

Applications made from outside the UK are usually processed within 2 months after biometrics, although times may vary.
